IT Installation / Repairs in Mediaș

About this service

IT installation and repair services cover everything to do with computers, laptops, and networks at home or in the office: diagnosing hardware faults, replacing components, cleaning and reapplying thermal paste, memory and SSD upgrades, reinstalling the operating system, recovering data from failing drives, removing malware, and configuring networks and printers. A technician first establishes whether the problem is hardware or software, because that determines whether the equipment is worth repairing or replacing. Many interventions — swapping a mechanical drive for an SSD, cleaning the cooling system, a clean reinstall — bring a five-year-old computer back close to its original speed for a fraction of the price of a new one.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is switching from a mechanical drive to an SSD worth it?

It's the best price-to-performance upgrade for an older computer. Boot time drops several times over and programs open noticeably faster, at 150-350 RON labour plus the drive.

Can an office network be set up in Mediaș?

Yes, technicians configure routers, switches, wireless access points, network printers, and NAS units. For larger premises, structured cabling can also be done, quoted separately.

What warranty do I get on a repair?

Labour usually carries a 30-90 day warranty, and fitted parts carry the manufacturer's warranty, typically 12-24 months. Ask for the warranty document along with the invoice.

What details help produce an accurate quote?

The exact laptop model or computer specification, what happens and since when, and whether it has been opened before. With those details the technician can estimate the cost far better before travelling out.

How much does a laptop repair cost in Mediaș?

Diagnosis generally costs 50-150 RON in Mediaș, and routine work — cleaning, thermal paste, a system reinstall, fitting an SSD — falls between 100 and 350 RON. Parts are invoiced separately.

Is a 6-7 year old laptop worth repairing?

It depends on the fault. A new SSD and another 8 GB of memory can add years of life for 300-600 RON. A burnt-out motherboard or a replacement display, on the other hand, often costs as much as an equivalent second-hand laptop.
