Solar Panel Installation in Murfatlar

About this service

Installing a photovoltaic system means sizing it against the household's consumption, fixing the mounting structure to the roof or ground, mounting the panels, running the DC cabling, installing the inverter and protection panel, then commissioning the system and filing the grid connection paperwork. An electrician holding an ANRE certificate is required to carry out the electrical work legally and to sign the documentation for prosumer status. Beyond the installation itself, specialists check that the roof structure can take the extra load, choose the right inverter — on-grid, hybrid, or off-grid —, fit battery storage systems, and set up production monitoring. A properly installed system generates power for 25-30 years with minimal intervention.

What to check before hiring a solar panel installation

Check whether the quote includes the structure, inverter, DC/AC protection, and the connection file
Ask for the wiring diagram and the datasheets for the panels and inverter
Ask separately about the workmanship warranty and the manufacturer's warranty
Don't accept an installation without a prior check of the roof structure's capacity
Compare at least three quotes for the same installed capacity
Ask for access to the production monitoring app from commissioning onwards

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a building permit for photovoltaic panels?

For systems mounted on the roof of an existing building without structural changes, a building permit is generally not required. Grid connection under prosumer status does, however, require a file submitted to the distribution operator.

What does being a prosumer mean?

A prosumer generates electricity for their own use and feeds the surplus into the grid. The status is obtained through a file submitted to the distribution operator, and the energy fed in is offset against the energy consumed, under the ANRE rules in force.

How long does a photovoltaic installation take?

The installation work itself for a 3-6 kW domestic system generally takes 2-3 days. Connection and commissioning depend on the distribution operator and can take several weeks from when the file is submitted.

Does the installer need certification?

Yes. The electrical work and the connection documentation must be carried out by an ANRE-certified electrician. Ask for a copy of the certificate before signing — without it, the prosumer file cannot be submitted.

Can panels go on any type of roof?

They can be mounted on tile, sheet metal, bituminous membrane, or on the ground, using hardware specific to each case. The installer first checks that the roof structure can carry the extra load, around 12-15 kg per square metre.

Is there funding for solar panels?

The Casa Verde Fotovoltaice programme, run by the Environment Fund Administration, funds part of the system cost for private individuals. Application windows and ceilings are announced on the AFM website and change from year to year, so check the current terms before signing.
