Video / Filming in Curtea de Argeș

About this service

The difference between video that looks good and video that doesn't is overwhelmingly made before filming starts: how much time is allowed, how many cameras there are, how the sound is captured, and whether the location allows decent light. A professional videographer establishes in the initial conversation what will be filmed, in what order, and what will be delivered — duration, format, short social media versions, subtitles. Editing is usually the longest part: a one-day event can mean several days of work. On SmallJobs you can request offers for event filming, presentation material, drone footage, or editing alone if you already have the raw material.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does sound matter so much?

Because material with good pictures and bad sound is effectively unusable. For speeches, interviews, and ceremonies, lavalier microphones or separate recorders are used, not the camera's own microphone.

Can filming be done indoors in low light?

Yes, but the result depends on the equipment and any added lighting. Say up front if the venue is dark — the operator will plan for lights, which may change the quote.

Can I send raw footage for editing only?

Yes, editing can be contracted separately. The price is usually calculated per delivered minute or per hour of work, depending on how much material has to be reviewed and how complex the edit is.

How do I book a date?

Through a contract and a deposit, usually 20-30%. In event season the good dates go months ahead, so booking early matters more than negotiating the price.

What happens if the operator can't attend?

A professional includes a contract clause covering replacement by an operator of equivalent standard and the terms for refunding the deposit. Ask for that clause explicitly before signing.

Who owns the rights to the material?

It's set out in the contract. Typically the client receives usage rights for the agreed purpose, and the operator keeps the right to use excerpts in their portfolio. If you don't want that, ask for it to be excluded in writing.
