Web Development in Făgăraș

About this service

The most common problems with business websites are mundane and expensive: they load slowly on phones, they don't say in the first few seconds what service is on offer, the contact form doesn't work or lands in spam, and the contact details and service area are missing. A good developer starts by establishing what the visitor should do — call, send an enquiry, place an order — and builds the site around that action. They also make clear from the outset who owns the domain and hosting, who handles updates, and how the project is handed over. On SmallJobs you can request offers for new sites, rebuilds, online shops, or monthly maintenance alone.

Ask for a short training session on managing content
Specify in the quote how many revisions are included

Register the domain in your own name, not the developer's
Ask for access to hosting and the domain account from the start
Check whether copy and photographs are included in the price

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the site appear in Google?

Indexing takes from a few days to a few weeks. A new site doesn't automatically rank for competitive terms — that takes useful content, clear structure, and time. Ask that at least the basic configuration is included.

What does responsive mean?

That it displays correctly on phones, tablets, and desktops. Since most visits come from phones, mobile speed and readability matter more than how it looks on a large monitor.

Can I update the content myself?

Yes, if the site is built on a platform with an admin area. Ask for a short training session at handover and minimal documentation — it saves you paying for trivial changes.

What happens if I want to change developer?

If you own the domain, hosting, and code, moving is straightforward. Require in the contract that files and the database are handed over in full at the end of the engagement.

Is an online shop worth it, or is a page enough?

It depends on the number of products and how often orders come in. For services and small catalogues, a well-built page with an enquiry form often converts better than a full shop.

What warranty do I get after delivery?

Typically 30-90 days for fixing faults arising from the build itself. Content changes and new functionality are charged separately, hourly or per project.
